NorDan offers a window of opportunity for schools, Stand 518 at BSEC, 11-12 February ’09

NorDan, the leading provider of high performance environmentally-friendly timber and aluminium-clad timber windows and doors, has all the answers for schools on Stand 518 at the Building Schools Exhibition and Conference (BSEC) at Manchester Central, 11-12 February 2009.

NorDan windows and doors have been installed in a wide variety of education projects with great success, as the combination of affordability, security, sustainability and energy efficiency ticks all the boxes for schools.

At BSEC NorDan will be showing some of the more popular options for schools available from its standard range of double glazed windows. An all-timber window will showcase the beautiful timber finish inside and out, a look that’s increasingly commonly specified by architects. Additionally, NorDan’s extremely low-maintenance aluminium cladding option will be shown in a choice of shades to illustrate the huge range of colours available – in fact the cladding can be powder coated to any RAL Classic colour.

NorDan also offers a number of other features which make its designs particularly schools-friendly. With windows and doors to the police preferred specification of Secured by Design and options including safety glass, integral blinds, tinted glazing, enhanced sound insulation, trickle vents and multi-sash units, NorDan can meet every combination of requirements.

In addition, NorDan’s standard range of windows has a whole window U-value of 1.6 W/m²K, already exceeding the Building Regulations standard of 1.8 W/m²K. But for installations where high thermal insulation is a priority, NorDan’s industry-leading NTech range of windows offers whole window U-values as low as 0.7 W/m²K.
