For ventilation, the side and bottom handle are turned and the sash can be held in place by the restrictor at the side of the window. To open the window for cleaning the outside of the glass, the restrictor can be dis-engaged allowing the window to open fully.
Ironmongery The side hung window may have one or two espagnolettes subject to factory definition. If only a side espagnolette is fitted, this may have three locking points on the opening side and one handle only, centrally positioned. If produced with two handles then both the bottom rail and one side will have an espagnolette providing two locking positions.
Trickle vent The optional adjustable trickle vent is positioned at the head of the frame to ensure good air circulation within the room. Being independent of the sash, it can operate even when the window is securely closed. NorDan’s integral ventilation system means there is no unsightly external vent hood.

Optional aluminium cladding Aluminium cladding is optionally available. Powder coating available from the classic RAL colour range. Aluminium cladding increases the lifespan of the window and also greatly reduces maintenance costs.
