This is an ideal door designed for
occasional use such as balconies, back doors and outhouses. For more
frequently used situations (front doors) the NorDan KD door is preferred.
In addition to its elegance, the balcony door also offers many advantages:
- The door leaf cannot be lifted off the hinges when closed and locked
- Panels cannot be disassembled from the outside
- Available inward
or outward opening
- Choose between glass or insulated panels (or a combination of the
two)
- Available as a single door
set or as a double door set (French doors)

Wide variety of designs
There are a wide variety of design specifications to choose from.
Transoms and mullions may be ordered optionally, panels may be aluminium
clad
externally, and a wide range of glazing options is available.
NorDan recommends outward opening doors should be protected by a
canopy to improve weather performance and avoid damage to both the
door head
and wind brake mechanisms, if optionally supplied.
Panelling
There is a wide choice of panel materials to meet most requirements.
Please ask for further information.
Note: Doors requiring a pine veneer panel are optional
(not standard). Insulated panels are 48mm thick with a U-value of 0.6W/m²-K
Optional wind brake device
Outward opening doors need to be protected against possible wind damage
when open. A wind brake is optionally available on inward and outward
opening
doors.
