Inward or outward opening?
NorDan’s message is clear; inward opening windows are more difficult to break into than outward opening types. This is why most people choose NorDan’s 3 handled inward opening tilt and turn. This model has been in continuous production for over 40 years displaying the same 'Secured by Design' principles originally developed all those years ago, modified to meet changing demands.

Secure glass: all products
NorDan bond the glass into glazing rebates in such a way that it cannot be removed from outside without breaking the glazing unit. Furthermore, NorDan can supply many special security glass solutions to enhance resistance against burglary. Please ask for further details.

Laminated glass
Laminated glass is the best deterrent against casual crime. It is very strong and, unlike toughened glass, does not shatter, leaving access to the property for burglars. Laminated glass has the advantage of being available from stock whereas toughened glass has to be made to order, a point to consider should speedy replacement of a glazed unit ever be required.
