Cutting edge scheme wins big award

Cutting edge scheme wins big award

NorDan's NTech 1.2top swing fully reversible timber windows, balcony and patio glazed doors and external doors feature in an award winning mixed tenure in Tower Hamlets London.

Contractor Hill Partnerships completed these much needed homes in East London maximising profit from the development on the way in a £10.1million project. The construction was a mixture of timber and concrete frame, awarded on a design and build contract. Hill chose MMC build solutions to address the very tight urban sites under construction, and NorDan played their part in delivering the windows floor by floor with a crane offload.

Hill Partnerships chose NorDan's high quality Scandinavian timber windows manufactured from sustainable raw materials in Norway, for their longevity and low maintenance as well as their environmental credentials.

The project won the Richard Feilden architecture medal, a Civic Trust Award, RIBA, London Evening Standard double winner and Gold Building for Life award.
