The NorDan Team Pedal for Scotland

An energetic staff team from NorDan are excited to be taking part in a 45-mile cycle challenge on Sunday 10th September to raise funds for local Scottish Children's Charity, RiverKids!

West Lothian’s Children’s Charity, RiverKids was formed in 2005 and supplies toys to West Lothian's most disadvantaged children by providing the toy which enables the child to play, helping local children maximise their potential. In conjunction with the Sick Kids Friends Foundation, the charity has also built a play area at St John's hospital in Livingston and continue to replenish toys in various areas of the hospital.

With the support of local donations, this organisation have bought bikes for local disabled children to enable them to go for a bike ride for the first time in their lives. The standard cost for each bike is a minimum of £1,200. The funds RiverKids raise come from a combination of direct donations, fund-raising events, bucket and can collections. This is only possible due to the generous support of West Lothian’s Business Community and residents. To read more about the charity, visit their website here.

Alex Brown, David Smith, Tracy Fyall, Dave Toole, William Murray, Alan Anderson, James Heery, Colin Sapsed and Anne Campbell are nine of NorDan's employees taking part in The Classic Pedal for Scotland challenge. The 45-mile ride from Glasgow to Edinburgh is extremely popular, previously attracting over 6,500 participants last year.

Everyone at NorDan is extremely proud to be involved in this project in order to help raise much needed funds for this reputable charity. All donations are greatly appreciated and will go directly to RiverKids.
