This window looks like a
traditional outward opening casement but allows
you to clean both sides of the glass safely and easily from inside
your home due to a vertical sliding pivot hinge arrangement.
Efficient safety device
When you first open the sash of the Villa VC window, it is restricted
to approximately 100mm as a child safety feature (non aluminium-clad
feature). The sash cannot be turned beyond this until the safety
device is released,
allowing the sash to glide smoothly through 180°. The restrictor
will automatically engage to provide a safe cleaning position for
the external glass pane.
Superb balance
The window has customised ironmongery, produced especially for NorDan,
which allows smooth operation of the window.
The Villa VC window may be ordered in a combination of opening
sashes or fixed lights within one frame. Please check for limiting
dimensions.
Trickle ventilation
An adjustable trickle vent incorporating a fly mesh is fitted as standard
in the head of all Villa opening windows. NorDan’s unique design
avoids the need for an unsightly external canopy and vents are provided
to all windows over 488mm wide unless their omission is specifically
requested.
Night vent position
By opening the sash approximately 10-15mm, then closing the handle,
a limited ventilation (night vent) position is achieved. Back to top
